Now for those of you believing that war between Russia and the West cannot occur because of the military doctrine of “mutually assured destruction” (MAD) let me disabuse you of that notion once and for all—because when President Putin warned that he would “fight first” if a “fight was inevitable”, he wasn’t stating his thoughts, he was stating exactly what Russia’s war doctrine is. What would the US reaction be if Russia and its allies surrounded the United States with hundreds of military bases and tens-of-thousands of troops in Canada and Mexico, and then after that, they made laws to destroy America’s entire energy industry? The new US new sanctions law intended to destroy Russia’s energy industry was sponsored by US Senator Bob Corker (R-Tennessee) in order to keep President Trump from preventing World War III.
