Scott Adams, Watch the Friendly Fire

Scott Adams is a fantastic cartoonist, and an authority on writing, economics, and hypnosis. But unlike Q, he is not encouraging people to think for themselves, but to rely on his expertise, and his perception of reality as something closest to a universal truth.

Thanks but no thanks.

I like Adams, and have followed him awhile, but he has been wrong from time to time, because he’s human. There is also his tendency to believe that if he is brilliant about predicting and understanding human behavior, it will carry over to other fields, such as investigative journalism, political intrigue, actual US and world history, computer sciences, etc. I’ll have to assume here that you know a little about the Qanon controversy. It’s been called a conspiracy theory, a cult, and worse.

Martin Geddes wrote that we are seeing what may be a military intelligence operation, done to bypass all conventional, traditional mainstream media which had long been compromised.

“We are witnessing right now one of the greatest communications events in history… One of Q’s earliest posts states that ‘This will be considered the biggest ‘inside’ ‘approved’ dump in American history”’.

“Q is delivering a ‘soft disclosure’ of the end game of a ‘shadow war’ that has been silently raging around us for years. The ‘drops’ expose the present and past crimes and large-scale conspiracies of a transnational negative ‘Deep State Cabal’.”

But then we have people that have not bothered to research the boards on 4chan and 8chan, and then compare them to the predictive posts preceding coming news events.

The problem with fame is the ability to influence others often convinces these talents to believe their own sense of intellectual authority. Lots of us don’t know how to think critically, or suffer the pitfalls of common logical fallacies and psychological defense mechanisms like cognitive dissonance. Your author is not an authority on anything but my own strengths and weaknesses in regards to my own perception of reality, but humbly ask you learn to trust yourself. “I don’t want you to think like me, I just want you to think” as the saying goes.

One thing that is not appreciated is Adam’s tendency to attack straw men, that is, arguments and claims about Q or supporters that were never made (made by some supporters, maybe, but not Q). Adams has experienced this personally as claims or the words or conduct of fans are unfairly attributed to him. Nor is he in any position to dismiss his own confirmation bias anymore than yours truly. Much to his credit, Adams has said he is never aware of those moments when he is in the midst of confirmation bias, or cognitive dissonance. None of us are. I submit he is in one right now.

To present the illusion that you have never lost, and always win, all you have to do is “predict” a fact you already know, and a battle you already won. For example, one might say “the ISIS offensive will die soon, and they will be eradicated by next week, no later than Tuesday” when the general knows the battle was already won, the leader captured, and all that’s left to do is stage photo ops and re-creations of major battles for distribution.

That said, Perhaps President Trump doesn’t make predictions. He speaks of the known, ambiguously. This creates the illusion of predictions fulfilled. Scott Adams does make predictions. Trump is never wrong where it counts. Adams is.

Are you a wise man, Scott? Your video is titled how to know the TRUTH about Q. I dare say you are a teacher, a good one, and searching, like the rest of us. You have your gifts, to be certain, but Q has no income to gain from new followers, no books to sell, no video streams to sell. You do.
