Yesterday night, more than 120 buses and dozens of ambulances entered the terrorist-run towns of al-Fouaa and Kefraya in the northern countryside of Idlib province to evacuate civilians via Tallet al-Eis corridor in Aleppo.
This critical deal was reached between the Syrian government and rebel forces on July 17, under the mediation of the representatives of the Russian Reconciliation Center. The agreement would allow for thousands of people besieged in the towns of Al-Fouaa and Kafraya to reach the government held areas for the first time since 2015.
At the same time, the security of the evacuation was granted by the Syrian Arab Army alongside the Russian military police units. The observation points were set up along the route of the column.
The civilians will be transferred to Aleppo province. The local authorities have already taken all necessary preparations to receive the civilians of al-Fouaa and Kefraya, as temporary housing centres were prepared and equipped with all services including health, relief and food services. Moreover, all the wounded and patients in need of medical care to be sent to the Hospital of Aleppo, where they will get medical care provided by the Russian medical staff.
