When Moderates Are Impediments to Justice

“First, I must confess that over the last few years I have been gravely disappointed with the … moderate who is more devoted to ‘order’ than to justice; who prefers a negative peace which is the absence of tension to a positive peace which is the presence of justice; who constantly says ‘I agree with you in the goal you seek, but I can’t agree with your methods of direct action;’ who paternalistically feels he can set the timetable for another man’s freedom…”

Martin Luther King, Jr. “Letter From The Birmingham Jail” April 16, 1963
King’s Cell Door

“I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were cold or hot. So, because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will vomit you out of my mouth. Because you say, ‘I am rich, and have gotten riches, and have need of nothing;’ and don’t know that you are the wretched one, miserable, poor, blind, and naked; I counsel you to buy from me gold refined by fire, that you may become rich; and white garments, that you may clothe yourself, and that the shame of your nakedness may not be revealed; and eye salve to anoint your eyes, that you may see. As many as I love, I reprove and chasten. Be zealous therefore, and repent.”

Revelation 3:15-22

It’s 2009 now. The greatest enemy to freedom remains the moderate of any race, color or sex; the moderate whom Martin Luther King described as “more devoted to ‘order’ than to justice; who prefers a negative peace which is the absence of tension to a positive peace which is the presence of justice…” Whom are your true overlords? Not your government. Nor is it a military that answers to no one. The ultimate power rests in those entrusted to serve as your eyes and ears; without them you cannot make informed decisions affecting yourselves, your nation, and future generations. Without an honest press, you have no way to expose the true criminality of leaders; you have no way in which to make informed decisions and thereby protect yourselves via the ballot box.

Your Overlords

The right to inform a nation without restriction or censure from the government is a responsibility so sacred the press is the only business protected by the constitution since our country’s founding. Just remember that those whom have ability to blind you from injustice that you may let it continue indefinitely, or deafen the cries of the wronged until the illusion of contentment is achieved; these are the overlords. Your true overlords are bought and paid for by unelected wealth. Your overlords are an overtly incestuous corporate media that by omission, commission and ridicule of truth can and has concealed the greatest crimes against humanity and state; and to this day its emissaries glorify treason and incite wars at will… Your enemy has a microphone and camera. Sometimes he simply sits in front of a camera, behind a desk, interviewing legions of pundits in lieu of a chorus. The effect is the same, and the song remains the same. Not a single one of us hasn’t been blinded by the omnipresent entity of deception and led against our interests. It’s time to challenge this while the internet, and social news networks, still have a capacity for positive change.

You know your enemy’s name. Once his name was William Randolf Hearst. Now it is Rupert Murdoch. Hearst’s yellow journalism manufactured a war against Spain with a “sinking of the Maine” that never took place, and Murdoch’s yellow journalism did the same in Iraq’s “Operation Freedom” with identical tactics. Both media monopolists put presidents in office; Teddy Roosevelt and George W. Bush, respectively. Either way, these men had only as much credibility and power as we were willing to give them. With the internet, Murdoch can be neutralized. And this my friends, is our most important cause.
