It is a little known fact that Adolf Hitler, when creating the German Christian Church, actually omitted the Old Testament and the writings of Paul. Pictured here is Reich Bishop Ludwig Müller, a revisionist whom tried to portray Jesus as Aryan and saw nothing but Jewish corruption in the bible itself. Without the Old Testament, however, you cannot appreciate the prophetic nature of many scriptures alluding to the life of Jesus. It makes one wonder if that is exactly why Hitler agreed with the idea. You may see the bible or variations of it from time to time, a smaller book that only has the New Testament. The prophecies, over thirty-five of them, are as follows:

Betrayed by a friend

To be born of a virgin

Flight to Egypt

Ho:11:1: When Israel was a child, then I loved him, and called my son out of Egypt.

Accused by false witnesses

Psalms:35:11: False witnesses did rise up; they laid to my charge things that I knew not.

Given gall and vinegar

Psalms:69:21: They gave me also gall for my meat; and in my thirst they gave me vinegar to drink.

Gambled for his vesture

Joh:15:25: But this cometh to pass, that the word might be fulfilled that is written in their law, They hated me without a cause.


To heal the brokenhearted

Isa:61:1: The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;
Isa:61:2: To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn;

Lu:4:18: The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,
Lu:4:19: To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.


Heir to the throne of David

Isa:9:7: Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.

Lu:1:32: He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David:
Lu:1:33: And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end.


He will be in Galilee

Isa:9:1: Nevertheless the dimness shall not be such as was in her vexation, when at the first he lightly afflicted the land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali, and afterward did more grievously afflict her by the way of the sea, beyond Jordan, in Galilee of the nations.
Isa:9:2: The people that walked in darkness have seen a great light: they that dwell in the land of the shadow of death, upon them hath the light shined.

M't:4:13: And leaving Nazareth, he came and dwelt in Capernaum, which is upon the sea coast, in the borders of Zabulon and Nephthalim:
M't:4:14: That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying,
M't:4:15: The land of Zabulon, and the land of Nephthalim, by the way of the sea, beyond Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles;

Priest after order of Melchizedek

Psalms:110:4: The LORD hath sworn, and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek.

Heb:5:5: So also Christ glorified not himself to be made an high priest; but he that said unto him, Thou art my Son, to day have I begotten thee.
Heb:5:6: As he saith also in another place, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.


Murder of the children

Jer:31:15: Thus saith the LORD; A voice was heard in Ramah, lamentation, and bitter weeping; Rahel weeping for her children refused to be comforted for her children, because they were not.

M't:2:16: Then Herod, when he saw that he was mocked of the wise men, was exceeding wroth, and sent forth, and slew all the children that were in Bethlehem, and in all the coasts thereof, from two years old and under, according to the time which he had diligently enquired of the wise men.
M't:2:17: Then was fulfilled that which was spoken by Jeremy the prophet, saying,

No broken boness

Psalms:34:20: He keepeth all his bones: not one of them is broken.

Joh:19:32: Then came the soldiers, and brake the legs of the first, and of the other which was crucified with him.
Joh:19:33: But when they came to Jesus, and saw that he was dead already, they brake not his legs:
Joh:19:34: But one of the soldiers with a spear pierced his side, and forthwith came there out blood and water.
Joh:19:35: And he that saw it bare record, and his record is true: and he knoweth that he saith true, that ye might believe.

Preceded by a messenger

Prayer for his enemies

Psalms:109:4: For my love they are my adversaries: but I give myself unto prayer.

Lu:23:34: Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots.


Rejected by his own people

Isa:53:3: He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.

Joh:1:11: He came unto his own, and his own received him not.


To be resurrected

Psalms:16:10: For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.

A total sacrifice

Isa:53:5: But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

Ac:3:22: For Moses truly said unto the fathers, A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear in all things whatsoever he shall say unto you
