As Coulter made more and more appearances on mainstream television to channel Goering and promote the notion that war critics lacked patriotism and were endangering the country, it became abundantly clear that the networks she appeared on tacitly approved of her views, even though she was engaged in textbook propaganda tactics designed solely to intimidate conscientious dissent in either party.

By default, giving an idiot a platform on a national forum legitimizes anything they have to say; just look at Joe the Plumber.
