Ad Agencies Rely on Subliminal Messages
Manipulating the Obama clip, CHANGE becomes HANG. This
shadow cropping is no accident. Practically all ads on
television are subliminal.

Subliminal Advertising Leaves its Mark on the Brain (Mar. 9, 2007)
"..researchers have found the first physiological
evidence that invisible subliminal images do attract the
brain's attention on a subconscious level. The wider
implication for the study, published in Current Biology,
is that techniques such as subliminal advertising,
now banned in the UK but still legal in the USA,
certainly do leave their mark on the brain...
The word "HANG" in the McCain ad was clearly intentional, and it should be
obvious to any but the most partisan viewer that the selective fading in the
corners of the Obama image, which turned the word CHANGE into HANG, have been
added for subliminal effect. Most commercials work at the subliminal level, and
political ads are no exception. In fact, they employ subliminal messages most of
all.
Did you know subliminal advertising is illegal in the UK? Why do you think
that is so, if not for its inherent capacity for harming viewers, and getting
them to act against their best interests or even safety?
Unfortunately, subliminal advertising is still legal here in America, and
most prevalent in political ads.
The "RATS" ad used in 2000 where GOP used
"Bureaucrats Decide" to flash RATS in an ad attacking Al Gore employed the same
subliminal techniques McCain is using now. And then, like now, Karl Rove was
playing a pivotal role.
As far as attack ads go, the message in McCain's ad is rather amateurish and stupid, and
assumes the voter is stupid as well. The argument is that Obama is a celebrity
as opposed to politician,
and therefore out of touch and a danger to the economy. His mere candidacy,
subliminally framed, warrants a hanging. The ad is offensive and patently
malicious, but harmless to anyone but McCain.
Why is the ad a failure? because it has already drawn fierce and
well-deserved criticism for its subliminal message of "HANG" in the backdrop of
a black man, and consequently any redeeming message (had there been one) is
lost. What part of the subconscious mind, if not the basest and most hateful,
irrational and vile instincts, does the ad appeal to?
John McCain really sank to the gutter with this one; lower than a sewer rat's
balls. He may as well superimpose a noose over Obama on his next ad while he and
his surrogates feign indignation at any charge of hate-mongering or mind-fucking.
You're a sick puppy John, sick. It's bad enough to subliminally frame your
opponent as a rat, but to subliminally imply he should be hanged is stunningly
repulsive.
This is one of the last Crossfades to be purely on Myspace. Shortly, the 'zine will be on its own website, and as a column on The Impious Digest's site (links in an upcoming bulletin.) So, let's get to it!
An
elephant paints a self portrait and stuns everyone in sight. Not only is
it well done, it would please an art critic. The picture blows away any
ever done by chimps, the
typical human child or Jackson Pollack.
It also shows a keen observation of dimension and perspective lacking in
middle age tapestries and Egyptian paintings.
Not every Brady Bunch episode made it past the zealous censors of 1970s television. Even this, the most innocent of shows, the most wholesome, managed to somehow offend the sensibilities of anal retentive network censors. Here now, for your perusal, the lost classics...
The recent news of a CIA torture jet crashing with four tons of cocaine in Mexico was a sobering reminder that the drug war as we know it benefited both the Clinton and Bush dynasties, all the while bringing the United States incarceration rate to the point we have 25% of the worlds prisoners while being only 5% of the global population; this according to Kara Gotsch of the American Civil Liberties Union.
Torture works! If it wasn't for Salem's patriotic witch hunters, 19
confessed witches
wouldn't have been sent to the gallows. Among the charges the tortured accused confessed to, in vain attempts
to avoid the gallows:
Flying through the air on a pole
Speaking with the devil and writing in his book
acts of terrorism against the people of Salem
Also, two dogs were executed as accomplices to witchcraft. Whether or
not the dogs were tortured for their confessions is unknown as of this
writing.
Not all bias is bad. Look up the word bias, and you will see its synonyms
not only include prejudice, but also bent or tendency. The question we
should ask is not whether or not we have bias; or bents, tendencies, prejudices,
because we all do. The question we should ask is if the bias is rational or irrational, conscious or subconscious.
Neuroanatomist
Jill Bolte
Taylor had an opportunity few brain scientists would wish
for: One morning, she realized she was having a massive stroke. As it
happened -- as she felt her brain functions slip away one by one,
speech, movement, understanding -- she studied and remembered every
moment. This is
a powerful story of recovery and awareness -- of how our brains
define us and connect us to the world and to one another. (Recorded
February 2008 in Monterey, California. Duration: 18:44.)
Slavery
had lasted 246 years in America, from 1619 to 1865, well into the end of
the Civil War. Even after slavery, it
took over 100 years to give blacks the "freedom and
prosperity" Pat Buchanan described, and it was only after they fought
and defeated relentless Jim Crow segregationists like Buchanan himself.
In creating Richard Nixon's "Southern Strategy", Buchanan allied with,
and personified the Klan fronts like the White Citizens Councils which battled
tooth and nail to deny blacks their basic civil rights.

Foolish humans! Your TV has activated my mockery circuits. Ha ha ha
ha! I have just looked at this wondrous machine you call television
and I am amazed. Simply amazed. It appears to me you enjoy being
manipulated by network programmers and commercial interests no more
intelligent than yourselves. I have laughed so hard at you humans
today I peed oil on myself.
If you think the issue of copyright reform shouldn't concern you, think
again. There is no way to enforce the latest draconian trend in
copyright legislation without law enforcement monitoring any and all
traffic from your pc. This is something the Bush administration has been trying to do for
years, successfully at that, but under the pretense of rooting out
terrorists. Now consider the
Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement.
